Finish and print our your newspapers on Hereward. Check that it is in the past tense and that you have made it biased to one side using adjectives and one-sided descriptions. Check the spelling and make it look and sound like a newspaper.

3. Now write up your own report on what you think happened to the body - remember to include evidence to support your conclusions. Do the report on the iPad, print it out and hand it on the Wednesday.

You are going to invesigate the arguments about how Harold died.
1. Read pages 22 and 23 carefully.
2. Now examine Source A: The Bayeux Tapestry and Evidence A-E.
For each piece of evidence, explain:
i) who produced it
ii) when it was produced
iii) what it tells us about Harold's death
iv) How far you trust the evidence
3. Does any of the evidence agree on how Harold was killed?
4. How do you think Harold died? Remember to use evidence to support your theory. Remember you can say that you are not sure as long as you explain why.

1a). The calendar used in Britain and the names of the days and months tells us much about British history. Find out the meaning of each of the months of the year and the days of the week and which culture they come from. What does this tell us?
1b). Can you find out the origins of the names of the days of the week in Spanish? What does this tell us about Spain?
2. Take a page in your book and produce a poster showing the origins of the names of the days of the week.
3. Now work out in which century each of the following famous people was born:
Make sure you have finished the work on how people told the time in the past.

2. Then take a full page in your exercise book to draw out a timeline of your life. You should include the date, what happened to you and what was happening in the world at the same time.

iii) what it tells us about Harold's death
iv) How far you trust the evidence
3. Does any of the evidence agree on how Harold was killed?

1a). The calendar used in Britain and the names of the days and months tells us much about British history. Find out the meaning of each of the months of the year and the days of the week and which culture they come from. What does this tell us?
1b). Can you find out the origins of the names of the days of the week in Spanish? What does this tell us about Spain?
2. Take a page in your book and produce a poster showing the origins of the names of the days of the week.
3. Now work out in which century each of the following famous people was born:
- Alexander the Great - born 356 BC
- William the Conqueror - born AD 1027
- Joan of Arc - born AD 1412
- Mary, Queen of Scots - born AD 1542
- Napoleon Bonaparte - born AD 1769.
Make sure you have finished the work on how people told the time in the past.
